One of the very last cards to receive it’s artwork is The Dragon Scale Armor. It’s a potent and indispensable part of decks for players with lower HP. Harder hits are reduced to lower levels and can even force an opponent to change strategies and withhold larger attacks and rely on ones with smaller damage attached. A late addition but a strong one.

Crusaders Cross Promotion
Crusaders is being utilized in a creative effort aside from the card game itself. An on going series on YouTube centers around the game and (melo)dramatic battles ensue.
A Heroes Armor
As Promised
The artwork is trickling in. This artwork as a last minute choice became a preview card for a forthcoming set in the Crusaders line. The artwork is greatly inspired by a popular Japanese cartoon.
The armor’s goal is to reach a greater damage output sooner and end stalemates or catch unprepared opponents off guard. This is of course hopefully before it KOs you first.
The Art Trickles In
He’s Calling His Shot…
This card allows a player to make better use of the time between large attacks by passively gaining Courage. This shortens the time between attacks and even shuffles itself back into it’s user’s Supply Pile after the Courage boost is applied. The only consideration a play may have is that it does require a space to leave it in play and if you he or she already has cards in play, that may be a space too valuable to take up for very long.
Feast your Eyes
An Excerpt…
“You must at all costs abandon this reckless course,” The ghostly face of his compatriot is twisted with anger and grief.
“There must be a reckoning. He has to suffer and die for his crimes!” Hex rasps at the ethereal form before him.
“You deserve more than revenge Hex. If you kill him, the keys to be loosed from this prison of the soul are lost to you.”
“My will to avenge you and put him down into silence forever is what I’ve held onto, how I’ve survived again and again. You’d ask me to abandon that? To abandon your memory, to let you go unavenged for all time?” Hex lets out a deep breath that exits like a frustrated growl.
“We all die. Don’t follow into the next world with these chains fastened to your soul my brother. From here I can see them plain. They will weigh you down to a cost you don’t yet understand.”
“There has to be justice!” Hex barks at Fen.
“There will be. In this life or the next.”
Story Nugget
When Arn first learns to set the Silver Sword on fire, he is taught the key to igniting it is a pure, passionate emotion. Arn mistakes this to mean anger and outrage were the only emotions great enough to access in battle. At this stage of the story and Arn’s abilities, tapping into such self destructive emotions to activate this power actually produced burning pain in his hand and arm the longer he uses it. Anger harms the wielder as much as its target. It’s not until later that he finds a solution in the place he did not know to look.
A Novel Idea
Crusaders accompanying book is being rewritten during production of the CCG itself. Progress is slow but the end result will make playing the game even more of an immersion for players. Chapter 25 was completed today.
